The Drama Club meets in Room 17 every Thursday at lunchtime.
It is a safe environment for our pupils to express their creativity, develop skills, and work with pupils from different class sets and year groups.
This term we are focusing on Drama games and warm-ups, role play, improvisation, mime, trust, freeze frame, and working with scripts.
In order to allow a wider experience of drama, a night at the theatre was organised in October. A small group of Drama club members, with Ms McCaughan, went to see a dramatised production of the iconic novel ‘Animal Farm’, at the Theatre at the Mill, Mossley. It was a thrilling one-man show, which was a fantastic example of how to use drama skills to their optimum.
Hopefully, we will have further opportunities to experience a range of theatre productions over the coming year.
If you are interested in joining the Drama Club come to ROOM 17 on Thursdays, we start at 12.45pm and finish at 1.20pm. All new members are welcome.
