Recognising that Global issues are an increasingly important aspect of young people’s lives and as Northern Ireland becomes ever more multicultural, Carrickfergus Grammar School aims to grasp the opportunities to broaden children and young people’s experience and knowledge.

As the actions of all people impact on others throughout the world and the solutions to many global problems are more likely to be realised through genuine understanding of our mutual interdependence, the school is committed to helping children and young people recognise their contribution and responsibilities as citizens of this global community and to equipping them with the skills to make informed decisions and take responsible actions.

To that end, the staff of Carrickfergus Grammar School are committed to enhancing the International Dimension of the curriculum – both by integrating international issues into what is studied across the whole range of subjects we offer and through our wider school involvement in a range of initiatives and opportunities.
